Overview of the role:

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions of the business. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions, adherence to financial policies and procedures, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is essential for success in this role.


This role will be based from our Waterloo head office


Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all invoices are authorised and posted correctly.
  • Carry out administrative jobs such as filing authorised and paid invoices and archiving.
  • Use Natwest & HSBC to make payments.
  • Setting up accounts for new suppliers in Business Central.
  • Checking supplier statements and following up missing invoices.
  • Posting supplier remittance slips.
  • Preparing invoices for all companies BACS run.
  • Dealing with enquires from suppliers and company departments.
  • Managing the accounts payable email inbox.
  • Management of company expense platform.


Skills Required:

  • GCSE Maths & English
  • Strong Excel Skills (PIVOT table & VLOOKUP’s)
  • Excellent organisational and numerical skills
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Proactive, showing initiative and ability to see tasks through to the end
  • Relationship building and stakeholder management – being able to develop effective relationships that builds on trust and respect, to help drive business success.
  • Determined, self-motivated and resilient - the ability to multi-task, prioritise, work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced and busy retail environment.


Desirable:

  • Previous experience within a Purchase Ledger environment.
  • Seeking accounting qualification/ accounting technician.
